These are the members of the Jewish Community Council of Volchin:

Chairman – Rabbi Noach Shmoysh
Head Gabbai – Fulkeh Shuster
Treasurer – Leepah Gutvawch
Foreign Minister – Avraham Coopershmit
Captain of the Firefighters – Isser Midler

The Council used to meet in the house of the rabbi, which was in the front of the synagogue.

Editor's Notes: Members: As no date is given, we may guess that this is the Council as it was just prior to WWII. Gabbai: manager or treasurer of a synagogue. Isser Midler: Andrea Simon's ancestor, described in her book Bashert. In front of: closer to the road.
