Overview
In August, 2006, New Zealanders Felcity and Terry Zelcer came to Eastern Europe in search of Terry's family origin in the shtetl of Volchin and to add a Zelcer Family Memorial Plaque at the Jewish Memorial Monument.

They came to Volchin through the nearby city of Brest. During the war, many of the young people of Volchin were transported to Brest, where they were murdered by the Nazis.

The surviving Volchiners, among them, Dov Bar, have done what they can to memorialize their families and friends.
