Note: The engraved picture on this stone is the way the old Jewish Memorial Monument looked like in Volchin before it was replaced in 2004.

The writing on the Memorial Stone reads in Hebrew: A memorial to the people of the town of Wolczyn that were murdered by the Nazis and were buried in a mass grave and to those whose place of burial is unknown.
The picture engraved on the stone is the way the old Jewish Memorial Monument in Volchin looked before it was replaced in 2004. (This is also shown in Andrea Simon’s book).
The Family names in Hebrew were added later to the Memorial and were translated as follows:
